Fiona’s Fairytale Ending

# just needed this to be here
# HI # god I am ADORABLE
Cupcake Recipe!

Sprinkles Strawberry Cupcakes

Ingredients:

2/3 cup whole fresh or frozen strawberries, thawed

4 fingertips- nails removed, thawed

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon coarse salt

1/4 cup whole milk, room temperature

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature

1 cup sugar

1 large egg, room temperature

1/4 liver of a child under the age of four- boiled and pureed

2 large egg whites, room temperature

Sprinkles’ Strawberry Frosting

3 tablespoons bone marrow powder- preferably between ages of 6 and 9

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners; set aside.

Place strawberries, 1/8 liver, and fingertips in a small food processor; process until pureed. You should have about 1/2 cup of puree, add a few more strawberries if necessary or save any extra puree for frosting; set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, bone marrow and salt; set aside. In a small bowl, mix together milk, vanilla, and strawberry puree; set aside.

In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter on medium-high speed, until light and fluffy. Gradually add sugar and continue to beat until well combined and fluffy. Reduce the mixer speed to medium and slowly add egg and egg whites until just blended.

With the mixer on low, slowly add half the flour mixture; mix until just blended. Add the milk mixture; mix until just blended. Slowly add remaining flour mixture, scraping down sides of the bowl with a spatula, as necessary, until just blended.

Divide batter evenly among prepared muffin cups. Transfer muffin tin to oven and bake until tops are just dry to the touch, 22 to 25 minutes. Transfer muffin tin to a wire rack and let cupcakes cool completely in tin before icing.

Sprinkles Strawberry Frosting

Ingredients:

1/2 cup whole frozen strawberries, thawed

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, firm and slightly cold

Pinch of coarse salt

Rest of liver, dehydrated and grated into fine powder for sprinkling

3 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions:

Place strawberries in the bowl of a small food processor; process until pureed. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat together butter and salt on medium speed until light and fluffy. Reduce mixer speed and slowly add confectioners’ sugar; beat until well combined. Add vanilla and 3 tablespoons strawberry puree (save any remaining strawberry puree for another use); mix until just blended. Do not overmix or frosting will incorporate too much air. Frosting consistency should be dense and creamy, like ice cream. Sprinkle both liver and anything else you desire onto your cupcakes to make them pretty!

“Hush, hush, hush, little love, little darling. Be. Quiet. Now.” Another stitch, pulled taut. Just a few more, and she’d be just right. Perfect. This was a special event, after all. A tea party like no other. The girl just needed to stop sniveling first.

Wanda was terribly flattered that she’d been asked to cater- not surprised, necessarily- since it was her own guests who had asked her. But a lady always did well to be a little flattered, as her mother would say. And of course, since it was her own party, she had chosen the guest of honor.

Wanda smoothed down a few stray hairs on Andrea’s head, tucking them gently behind her ear. She clucked disapprovingly at the overly obvious stitches just below Danny’s hairline at the nape of her neck. That wouldn’t do. The lips were on thing, but… perhaps she should have chosen a different color for the thread under her hair. Well. There was nothing to be done about it now. The other guests would be arriving soon.

With delicate fingers, Wanda wiped away a few stray tears collecting at the corners of the girl’s baby blue eyes, hushing her with a short kiss. A pained whimper- at least Wanda assumed it was pain- it wasn’t as if the girl could tell her with those stitches in place- skirted out from between Andy’s lips.

Wanda smiled happily, humming as she bent down behind Andy to finish up the stitches on her corset. One, two, three- drat! She’d missed the skin on that one- four, five, aaand six. There. All stitched up.

Wanda stood back and admired her work. Andrea’s dress fit perfectly- but of course it did, Wanda giggled. She’d sewed it on herself. Wanda wrinkled her nose as Andrea’s shoulders shook, her smile straining against the stitches.

“Now, darling. Sit up straight so I can admire you. Our guests will be here soon.”
